As 4^th generation Auto Card Inspection System, KX-CardCore-V3 is designed to inspect card surface defects, such as dent, spot, bubble, scratch, artwork problem, printing error, holo & S.P incorrect, position/color deviation, etc.

It’s designed by CBPM-KEXIN which is founded by China Banknote Printing and Minting Corporation (CBPM) and China Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Shenzhen Cinda Investment Co., Ltd. They have a lot of innovate IP results in the image processing, precision machinery and optical, electronics and mechanic integration. Especially, the banknote sorting machine & card inspection machine has been widely used for more than 5 years.

1. I am working as a senior engineer in production dept. With Syscom Corporation Ltd , Noida. Our company is a sim card and smart card manufacturing unit and we are SAFRAN MORPHO group. Dealing in sim card and smart card business worldwide.

Our production targets are getting high day by day and on this way we are facing some issues with quality checks e.g. we faced defects like dent mark, scratches on card body, artwork problem, sequencing issues, barcode printing problems, barcode grade not ok, dead card means chip got dead during the process etc.

After discussion with you and reading the details of machines which are adding with this mail too, I come to know that these machines can help us a lot in quality inspection with a high rate. Manpower issues will also solved automatically by using these machines because now a days we have to plan a huge manpower to inspect defected cards manually and it takes lots of time.

2. We’re the card manufacturer & security printing system and we need your machine to inspect items as below:

3. In India market, only card sequence checking will be better option in quarter card format or machine which can detect sequence of ICCID and Barcode for 1 in 1 , 2 in 1 , and 4 in 1 card . We think it’ll work here if your machine can support that in one pass.

4. We are looking for a Card Inspection machine, below is the requirement for your quick reference:

Throughput - >20K cards/ hour
ID-1 cards only for inspection
Machine must do front and back visual inspection.
Inspection must be done by a good camera so that small scratches / dent can be also checked by camera, and can send to reject bin.
Input station à card cleaning station à Camera inspection-1 (front side of the card) à turning stationà camera inspection-2 (back side of the card)à Output (good cards + reject cards).
Camera Model Number is L103K and Company Make is Basler or the similar brand like US Dalsa.

5. We are mainly producing loyalty and gift cards – and a small part we do medium security identification cards like driving licenses, health cards and student IDs. 80% of all our orders are below 20.000 cards. Some are only 1.000 cards. Of course, it does not make sense to do machine control on this. But we would like a very fast setup for quantities above 5.000 cards, that checks on surface scratches, dots, ink drops, position of mag stripe and general position of the punching. More important is the setup-time – which should really be very fast as we have up to 10 jobs per day. I have been in Germany two days ago for this visual inspection machine, from the low to high speed. Very professional machine. But your machine attracts me a lot so I decide to check on site, and after that I will be in USA for another supplier.

7. Most card inspection system can inspect SIM card or banking card. But we mostly produce ID card and security document. It’s better to inspect IR ink, UV ink, transparent window, Pit, pearly finish and defect under film.

Time Lines

January-19, 2018, Mr. Michael Dorner, the CEO of Variuscard visited China Shenzhen and CBPM for card visual inspection machine.

January-24, 2018, Variuscard confirmed the PO to RSID Solutions for card visual inspection machine.

March-7, 2018, shortly after Chinese new year holidays, card visual inspection machine was shipped to Vienna, Austria.

April-2, 2018, two engineers were sent to Vienna Austria for card inspection machine installation and training in Variuscard factory.

April-2, 2018, machine was successfully set up in Variuscard and being able to meet their production needs. Site acceptance paper (SAT) was signed.

Engineer to customer’s site for training & repairment
Our equipments have 12 months for quality guarantee after sale. If the equipments do not work because of self cause, we will do free service and change the damaged spare parts.
We will do life-long maintenance for all of our sold equipments. After quality guarantee period, if you can not maintain the equipments by self, we are under an obligation to go to work place and assist you to make maintenance. The cost of spare parts as well as expenses of traveling and man-hour of worker will be negotiated separately. Spare parts will be supported whether during guarantee period or not.
After have finished maintenance, our service engineer will do training for the operators in plenty of time so that operators can be ensured to independently make operation, debugging and daily plant maintenance.

Q: Who will need the Card Surface Inspection System?

A: It’s the necessary for the banking card making company, or VIP card, membership card making company. This system can apply for the high quality card production.

Q: How’s The Main Function For Such Machine?

A: It’s an auto Card Visual Inspection System for the standard card surface quality detection & OCR specifically.

Q: How Long Is The Installation Time?

A: It will take around 10 days for the installation, adjustment, training, running and we will stay there to make sure the machine works stable before we leave.

Q: Do You Provide Remote Service?

A: Yes. We can also apply teamviewer for remote service in any customer who needs it.

Q: If There Is An Issue On The Machine, How Long Do You Response?

A: We will response within 24 hours when we know your problems by mail or phone, including the shipment of spare parts. If need on site support, we will leave for your site within 48 hours.

Q: How Long Is The Guarantee Period?

A: One year guarantee. All the hardware parts would be free to provide within the guarantee period if not damage on purpose. Diagram would be provided also for you to change them. After the guarantee period, we still offer supports.

Q: Do You Offer On-Site Service After Installation?

A: Yes. If on-site service, the buyer will be in charge of the accommodations and 150USD/day as service fee. We can offer the training or maintenance for on-site service.

Q: How About The Easy Broken Spare Part?

A: One set would be shipped with the machine together. Spare parts list would be provided with the user manual together. And you can order them at any time.

Q: Can Your Machine Apply The Electrical Testing Function For Cards?

A: Yes. We can add the testing function for inlay or module in the cards with using the same reject box as the vision system.

Q: Can You Test Our Cards Before We Order It?

A: Yes. You can offer sample cards for us. We will test them and then give you a report about your cards. That is better way to make the machine as your requirements.

Q: How Long Is The Changeover Time?

A: In the first time of training, the technicians in your site will have around 20 layouts setting training so that you may clear mind about the principle. After that, it will take about 30 minutes for the new layout to do the changeover.

Q: Do You Offer FAT Testing?

A: Yes. We offer the FAT testing for our clients. We can do test as your requirements. And during the testing, if you want to do any change for the machine, we can modify the hardware and software in the factory.

Q: How About The Machine Working Time?

A: The machine can work for 7*24 hours. The machine can apply for one operator.

Q: Do You Accept The Customized?

A: Yes. Machine can be customized. We can apply the machine to reach the clients’ requirements. The software and hardware are developed by our factory. So it is easy to make the customized.

Q: Does The Machine Have Logs and Defect Records?

A: Yes. The logs would be provided when the machine is running. Like the OK/NG records of each camera for each card and the machine running situation. And also we can provide each cards record in it. The defective cards picture can be saved for the reference.
